Rector on Vacation

Father Eric will be on vacation through Monday, June 19.  If you have a pastoral need during Father Eric’s time away, please contact the Parish Office directly. Please note that there will be no Morning Prayer on June 19.  Morning Prayer will resume on Tuesday, June 20.

New Sunday Adult Forum

Dr. Brent McLarty and his Sunday Adult Forum class have just begun a new, 24-week course on St. Augustine’s Confessions. St. Augustine of Hippo lived during the fourth and fifth centuries. He was a bishop of the Church and an early Church father. If you are interested in learning more about Augustine and his writing, you are invited to join Dr. McLarty’s Sunday school class each Sunday at 9:00 am in the choir room.

Inquirers Class

Inquirers Class will continue next week with a lesson on the Sacraments of the Church. If you know someone who is interested in learning more about the Episcopal Church, please invite them to our Inquirers Class.

Special Service on Saturday

Saturday, June 24, is the Feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist.  To mark this holy day, we will celebrate a simple, spoken Eucharist at 12:00 noon.  All are welcome!

Opportunities for Outreach

There are two special summer opportunities for outreach coming up between now and the end of June. Please prayerfully consider volunteering as you are able:

Special Session at Camp McDowell is an incredible opportunity for the guests and the counselors. Charlie and Clyde Pearce have been assisting for years. We plan to participate this year by taking a snack and a drink over for the second session opening on Tuesday, June 20, from 2:00 until 5:00 pm. We are planning to provide ice cream sundaes and cookies. We will leave St. Catherine’s at 11:30 am and be back by 7:30 pm. Please contact Bill Wheeler if you would like to participate so that we can sort out transportation to and from camp.

Sawyerville Day Camp has been making a huge difference in the lives of the children who attend and the lives of the counselors who assist. This summer, we plan to provide the Staff Dessert on Thursday, June 29, for 120 staff members. If you would like to participate in helping provide dessert at Sawyerville, please contact Bill Wheeler.

Morning Prayer is Now Live Streamed

Morning Prayer is now being live streamed each weekday morning, Monday through Friday, at 8:30 am. If you are unable to make it to St. Catherine’s in the morning, you can listen live on our Facebook page. A recording of the live stream will also be available after the service.

Parish Prayer List

If you would like to place someone on the Parish Prayer List, including yourself, please contact the Parish Office. Names will be included weekly in Sunday service bulletins and Weekly e-News.
