In 2018, St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church is embarking on an exciting new journey, a capital stewardship campaign to raise the funds needed to build our very first church building. The theme for our capital campaign is GROWING IN CHRIST. This theme was chosen because it symbolizes our desire to grow not only physically in size but also spiritually in Christ. We believe that God is calling us to grow, but in order to do that, we must have a building of our own, a building that will serve the needs of our growing parish and one that will serve as a beacon of light for our community. In order to build our first building, we are going to need as much help as possible to reach our goal of $1.2 million. If you are interested in helping us reach our goal, please contact our priest, Father Eric Mancil, or the chair of our Development Committee, Jay Jerman.
There are three major events that will take place during our campaign: 1) Vision Sunday on January 21, the kick-off to the campaign, which will include a special video presentation; 2) A Parish-wide Dinner at the Chelsea Community Center on Friday, February 23, at 6:30 pm; and 3) Commitment Sunday on February 25, which will also include a special video presentation and an opportunity for everyone to turn in their commitment cards for the campaign.
